Born in South Africa to French and Irish parents, brought up by an architect grandfather and a grandmother with a passion for travel; Anna’s rich cultural heritage has been the foundation for a metier dedicated to space, pattern and design. In 1972 Anna moved to the UK, later graduating from Chelsea College of Art with a 3 year diploma in Interior and Environmental Design. She worked at Mrs Monro, Montpelier Street, where in the sample room, amongst colourful chintzes, wallpapers and trimmings, she found further inspiration that would inform the next 30 years of her career.
Anna Jeffreys Interior Design and Decoration was born in 1983. The company worked at first across London and then internationally, designing interiors and furniture using the beautiful patterns, fabrics and wallpapers available then, that are so integral to Anna’s style now. In 2013 Anna launched an initial range of wallpapers, having enrolled on the Prince’s Initiative for Mature Enterprise course. Her designs were launched and in recognition of successfully completing the PRIME course, she was presented to HRH Prince of Wales. This first collection was met with great enthusiasm and has been showcased in several installations at Chelsea Harbour Design Centre.
Five years later Anna’s patterns are available as both wallpaper and linen and are for sale across the UK and US. In 2018 Anna will launch a collection of stationery.
